PROPOSED STATE RULES
By law, public notice of proposed rules must be given by publication in newspapers of record. The purpose of these notices is to give the public a chance to respond to the proposals. Vermont Proposed Rule: 04P023
AGENCY: Human Services
CONCISE SUMMARY: The Vermont Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is funded by and is subject to federal legislation, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. This rule will bring to the state level the federal regulations for vocational rehabilitation, completely replacing the old out-of-date state regulations. This rule will explain VR services and the process to use them.
TYPE OF PERSONS AFFECTED: Individuals with disabilities who use vocational rehabilitation services; employers who work with DVR customers; Vermont Association of Business, Industry and Rehabilitation; DVR staff; advocatesof service users; and providers.
COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS: There will be minimal, if any, economic impact as a result of adopting this rule. All elements of the rule are currently in place as a result of previously promulgated federal regulations, so no changes in program will be required by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, their customers, employers, or others who interact with the Division.
