Sales and Use Tax Regulations

Vermont Proposed Rule: 06P025

AGENCY: Dept. of Taxes, Agency of Administration

CONCISE SUMMARY: This rule interprets Vermont's sales and use tax provisions under Title 32 V.S.A and supercedes and revokes the Sales and Use Tax Regulations as they existed prior to January 1, 2007 effective date of this rule.

TYPE OF PERSONS AFFECTED: Vermont wholesalers, retailers, manufacturers, service industries, farmers.

COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The economic impact of the rule should not be significant. Most of the Streamlined Sales Tax Changes that alter the tax base and create notable fiscal changes were adopted by statute rather than through this rule.
